The PC Gaming Show at E3

Today is a monumental day for Future as we host the inaugural PC Gaming Show at E3, the first time PC gaming has had its own showcase at the World’s biggest games event. Massive congratulations my collegues for putting this together, especially Charlie, Isaac and PCG editor, Tim Clark.

With more powerful and affordable hardware than ever before, thousands of games available through Steam, Origin and other platforms, and millions of viewers regularly watching esports online. Now, for the first time, the PC platform will have its own event during E3, where the community will be able to celebrate this era with some of the biggest names in PC gaming and see the innovations that lie ahead.

Hosted by Sean ‘Day[9]’ Plott, the PC Gaming Show will take place at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles on Tuesday, June 16, 2015. In partnership with Twitch, the PC Gaming Show will be streamed live, and feature new game reveals, updates on beloved series, and perspectives from key PC developers.

History of Gaming saw new releases from Project Cars and the excellently rated Witcher 3, which scored an excellent 86.6%. History of Gaming also looked at the best zombie games, and updated the best PS4 game and Xbox One game lists.

T3.com Multi-Platform Relaunch

T3, Future’s lifestyle technology media brand, today unveils a multi-platform relaunch across its magazine, website, digital edition and award ceremony, including the addition of an exciting new brand extension, T3 Squared – a free supplement that will be distributed with T3 each month.

Launched on 14 May, T3 magazine has been redefined with an exciting new look, new sections and features. The major cover-to-cover redesign completely updates and refreshes T3’s design and utilises a physically bigger format that provides a more inspirational and visual setting for new products.

The redesigned T3 contains four major new sections: T3 Hype, an in-depth guide to the very latest products; T3 Agenda, an inspirational photo-led guide to having new experiences with tech; T3 Select, an all-new and improved reviews section; and T3 Elite, the best gadget buyer’s guide in the world.

There is also a suite of exciting new regular features including Man vs Tech – where a T3 writer is put in a challenging situation and must survive it armed with cutting-edge tech – and new ‘supertest’ State of the Art, which helps readers buy only the best of the best each month in key categories such as smartphones and smartwatches.

T3 magazine’s annual Hot 100 franchise has also become core to the site’s structure, giving users permanent access to a constantly updated list of the best in tech.

T3’s multi-award winning digital edition has also experienced a full redesign, adopting all of the new magazine sections and features. The UK’s biggest-selling digital magazine, it is available on Apple and Android platforms. Since the launch of Apple’s Newsstand in 2011, T3 has been at the forefront of digital magazine innovation and this redesign is the next step.

The T3 Awards is the must-attend event of the consumer tech calendar and been dubbed the Oscars of the tech world. Now in its ninth year, new awards have been introduced including ‘Wearable Technology of the Year’ and ‘The Home Technology Award’, that represent the evolution of the T3 brand. This year ‘s T3 Awards take place at the Grand Connaught Rooms on 17 September.

History of Gaming had a busy month, with the release of Mortal Kombat X and an array of new feature content, including Best PS4 Games (won by Grand Theft Auto V), Best PS4 Exclusives (won by Bloodborne), Best Xbox One Exclusives (won by Sunset Overdrive), Best PS4 Motorcycle Games (won by MotoGP 14) and Best PS4 Sports Games (won by PES 2015).

May will see more best lists rolled out on History of Gaming, as well as plenty of new action figures landing on Figure4.net.

Edgeless Ltd February updates

History of Gaming published their list of the best Grand Theft Auto games of all time, which was topped by GTA 4 scoring a near perfect 99.3%.

Figure4.net stocked a number of new products including the new ReAction figures by Funko, with ranges including Pulp Fiction, Back To The Future and Terminator.

Other items new in stock include the Link Twilight Princess figurine,  Batman Arkham Origins Play Arts Kai figure, new Sons of Anarchy figures and this Gus Fring Breaking Bad figure.

Total Film, SFX and GamesRadar combine to form GamesRadar+

Future plc, the international media group and leading digital business, today launches GamesRadar+, the most significant development ever of its global GamesRadar brand.

Gamesradar+ signifies the broadening of the market leading gaming site as it launches three significant new channels – Movies, TV and Cool Stuff. The migration of TotalFilm.com and SFX.co.uk onto Gamesradar, creating the new Gamesradar+, echoes the progression of how traditional gaming consoles, such as the Playstation 4 and XBox One, have become home entertainment devices.

The new Movie channel will be powered by Total Film, with SFX powering the TV channel, whilst the Cool Stuff channel will be a place for editors and readers alike to share relevant content from across the internet with like minded people in the GamesRadar+ community.

In its 17 year history, Total Film magazine has established itself as one of the leading titles in the global movie market. SFX magazine, celebrated its 250th issue earlier this year and is the world’s leading science fiction title, and GamesRadar has become a global powerhouse in all gaming, read each month by an audience of over 6.5 million. GamesRadar+ will now be a one-stop destination for audiences who love Games, Movie and TV.

The migration of two leading websites into GamesRadar+ has been a priority project for Future over the last few months. It signifies the start of an ambitious process to develop Gamesradar+ into one of the leading games and entertainment sites in the world.

The new Gamesradar+ will also enable readers to view, share and comment on stories more easily and on a more mobile-friendly website. There will be no changes to Total Film or SFX print or digital magazines.
